Singapore introduces the World's First Trademark Mobile Application IPOS Go

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) started using the world’s first mobile application “IPOS-Go” for trademark registration.

A new jump

Singapore, August 21, 2019: Trademark registration will be changed by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) starting to use the world’s first mobile application for trademark registration. This application, called “IPOS-Go”, developed by IPOS, allows businesses and entrepreneurs wishing to register a trademark in Singapore to apply for trademark registration directly to IPOS via their mobile device their movements.

The app provides a simplified user interface and features that give users a seamless and noiseless experience, making their application easier and faster. Trademark registration via IPOS-Go can be completed in less than 10 minutes, compared with the current average of 45 to 60 minutes. The cost of applying will also be significantly reduced as applicants can feel more confident applying in person with IPOS.

In Singapore, trademark application increased by 30% in the past five years.
