Registration of industrial designs in Kyrgyzstan – Any company that owns an industrial design and intends to expand its business in the Kyrgyz market should use the Kyrgyz intellectual property system. The deadline for filing an industrial design application in Kyrgyzstan claiming priority is six months from the priority date.
The following information and documents need to be provided in the application for registration of an industrial design in Kyrgyzstan:

Industrial design patents in Kyrgyzstan are valid for 10 years from the date of filing. This validity period may be extended at the request of the patent holder but shall not exceed five years.
The formal industrial design registration fee must be paid within two months from the date of receipt of the patent decision. Fees for maintenance of the first industrial design after the grant of a license that will be required to be paid from the 3rd year must also be paid within this period. All subsequent maintenance fees will be charged from the date of application and be paid in advance at the beginning of the following year.
Disclosure of information on an industrial design within six months before the filing date or priority date shall not deprive the industrial design of the novelty of the industrial design under the IP law of Kyrgyzstan.
