Recently, the USPTO has granted Apple’s new patent relates to electronic devices that have multiple displays. This action happened in 08/03.

About the patent.

Apple’s new patent is expected to be able to display various content, users are completely free to interact between content in the displays. This patent illustrates an iPad with dual displays.

While multi-tasking can be seen in most modern computer running windows, linux, etc. it is rather quite rare that a mobile device seems to care about this feature. However, with advanced technology, mobile devices are coming closer and closer to the standard of an office device, which is capable of fulfilling most of office’s tasks. Multi-tasking can be a surprised feature to be announced but surely a welcome one.

According to the newly granted patent, Apple claims that the new device is capable of processing multiple displays. Other than that, the new patent also allows the device to generate 3D image using coordinated views on multiple displays. It also promises a multi-tasking system, in which user can free use one display for video conference interface while other displays’ contents are kept secret.

Apple’s new patent: future orientation?

Apple has been on the list of big techs for quite sometimes, it is normal to see that Apple wants to innovate and keep up with others tech giant. It is likely that Apple is focusing on development of mobile genre, specifically on the development of tablet.

In recent years, tablets have proven their role in assisting not only office but also other tasks such as entertainment, management. This is further proven in the pandemic, since not every person can own a PC, but they most likely have at least one mobile device laying around. Increasing the capability of the Tablet genre can be a huge leap to others, since Apple’s new feature promises to bring Tablet nearer to the edge of an “touch screen laptop”.

However, since Apple has no official announcement, we can only predict the possible outcome.
